Macclenny's Nursing and Rehab Center:

The homeschoolers of RRC had the privilege of ministering to the elderly.  Handcrafted cards delivering the message of Christ's love were handed out to the residents.  The children sang Christmas carols and gave lots of love and hugs!

Connors Amaizing Acres!

The Corn Maze

We had the privilege of experiencing farm life at Connors Amaizing Acres!  It was a day full of activities that included animals, finding our way through the maze, learning the history of the farm, and fun-filled playtime!

Ministry Project

The Care Center

Friday, October 8th, 2010 was our very first ministry/service project.  We had the privilege of volunteering at our local Care Center which donates clothing free of charge to the needy.  Those seeking clothing leave with something far more valuable.  The Gospel is presented to each and every person who enters the door.  Here, each individual is counseled and both spiritual and physical needs are met.  We had the opportunity to serve and sort clothing for those locally, and those living in Honduras.

Prayer Meeting

Just a friendly reminder.  Our monthly prayer meeting will be Tuesday October 12th, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the coffee house.  The YMCA will be here at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a physical fitness program for homeschoolers.  Looking forward to a time of fellowship and prayer.  Hope to see you there.

Fire Station Field Trip!

RRC First Annual Fire Station Field Trip

Here are a few pictures from Fire Station #1, downtown Jacksonville, Fl. There were over 30 kids in attendance! We had a wonderful field trip and would like to say a special thank you to Captain Trevor Nelson and all of the firemen who daily risk their lives to ensure our safety.

We were privileged to tour the fire museum at Metro Park, downtown Jacksonville. This is a 204 yr old firetruck!

Monthly Prayer Meeting

We have many new and exciting events as we embark upon a new school year. This year will include a variety of educational field trips coupled with service projects and celebrations of thanksgiving and the birth of our Lord Jesus.

Our first monthly prayer meeting will be Tuesday September 14, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the RRC coffee shop. This will be a time of devotion and prayer as we assume the privilege of educating our children at home. We look forward to a time of fellowship where we can lift each other up in prayer.

Next Homeschool Meeting/M.O.P.'s Invitation

May 11th is going to be our next homeschool meeting! It will be held in the coffee shop, at the church, at seven o'clock. We hope you will join us!
Also, the RRC M.O.P.'s (Mothers Of Preschoolers) group would like to invite all homeschool moms to go with them to visit ladies at local nursing homes to wish them a Happy Mothers Day! They will meet at the church at 9:00 A.M. on Monday (May 10th). I guarantee it will be a blessing for both you and them!

Upcoming Homeschool Meeting!

This Tuesday (March 9th), at 7;00, we will be having our next homeschool meeting. We hope you will be able to join us!

Testing Opportunity and Next Homeschool Meeting

Brynde Connor has organized a group testing for homeschoolers. Here is the information concerning this testing:

-Testing is for grades 1st through 11th
-Testing dates will be May 11th and 12th from 9:00A.M. to 12:00P.M.
-Location is Raiford Road Church
-This is the ITBS (Iowa Test Of Basic Skills)
-It will cost $45 for 4th grade and up, and $50 for 1st through 3rd grade
-The test will be administered by a FL certified teacher
-Brynde needs the registration forms and money by March 19th

This testing is for all homeschoolers, even if they do not belong to a homeschool group.

We will also be having our next homeschool meeting this Tuesday, February 9th at Raiford Road Church at 7:00P.M.

Next Homeschool Meeting!

This Tuesday, January 12th, we will be getting together in the coffee house for our next homeschool meeting. We will meet at 7:00 P.M., please come and join us for a great time of fellowship.
